Zoe is the Director of Living Life Counselling, she is a clinically accredited counsellor who spent thirteen years working in community-based counselling centres, prior to developing the practice at Croydon Hills in 2008. In 2006 Zoe was invited back to Kingsley College to teach Counselling Skills in the degree program where her initial studies were undertaken, she has since taught in both the higher education and tertiary sectors. After a decade of formal teaching Zoe retired from the formal educational processes and now offers individual training alongside her practice at Croydon Hills.

In counselling practise Zoe has particular interest working with trauma informed approaches, working with clients with both recent and past trauma, anxiety and depression with both young people and the general population. Zoe has specific trauma training in developmental trauma and in working with trauma in the body. Differing modalities include, experiential, sand tray work, a sensorimotor approach, a developmental trauma model, as well as the more traditional therapies of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Person Centred approaches.

In 2003 Zoe established the Living Life series of workshops and Seminars still running today; believing that education is empowerment, that to provide skills to people allows individuals, couples and families to function to the best of their capacity.

Nick is a highly skilled counsellor with over 20 years of experience and extensive clinical knowledge. He balances excellent communication skills, empathy and compassion within a professional counselling approach. His extensive experience has seen him working with, with adolescents, and adults of all ages with behavioural and offending issues, and complex mental health in the drug and alcohol field.

This gives him extensive experience in working with family dynamics, working with parents and teens, couples with complex issues, as well as individuals with complex and or trauma backgrounds. He works with a wide range of clients of varying ages in both individual and group situations. He has also worked in a variety of settings from custody (for youth and adults), courts, various community settings and rehabilitation programs.

Gwen’s work as a counsellor and consultant follows on from a range of experiences in education, formal study and the work force.

Since 2004, Gwen has worked in Christian education, teaching from middle primary through to VCE Psychology. She has worked with children (including those with special needs), adolescents and parents, and understands the pressures students and families experience. Her work has equipped her with an ability to connect with children and teenagers. She has assisted many students in experiencing personal and academic success, and recognises the need to assist children and teens in developing resiliency.

Since 2011 Gwen has been involved with LGBTI communities. Focusing on wholeness and wellbeing, Gwen helps individuals in understanding their authenticity alongside sexuality.

Gwen’s own experiences and education have equipped her in assisting individuals with a broad range of needs. This includes wellbeing, mental health concerns, stages of life, relationships, sexuality, and education. She works to assist individuals to embrace their stories and live their lives with self-care, in community, wellbeing and wholeness.

Colin is a clinically accredited counsellor who has been involved in community based counselling prior to his involvement in the practice at Croydon Hills since 2009. He has particular interest working with couples and teens, though a wide range of experience in general practice. Colin has trained in personality profiling, using a range of assessment tools. In addition to the above abovementioned areas, Colin’s work has a focus working with those who have issues relating to sexual concerns whether these be compulsion, addiction or general sexual issues.
