Living Life Workshops are a series of  Workshops designed to enable you to live life to the best of your ability. We believe that education is empowerment. Our workshops are interactive, practical and informative, with time for discussion and time to practise the skills you are learning. Our workshops and groups are facilitated by experienced counsellors who provide you with education and information. Working together in a group environment means you can learn new skills in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and support. It is a time to benefit from the experiences of others and, importantly, to understand that you are not alone. Strength comes from no longer being isolated, from working on issues together, and from encouraging and supporting each other from week to week.

Our counsellors are skilled professionals who are committed to providing the highest quality of care. They are dedicated to the goals of education and empowerment, each are accredited counsellors bringing years of field experience with them.

Building Healthy Relationships

This four-week workshop teaches skills, which are at the foundation of all relationships – personal, family, marriage, platonic and professional. Each day we interact with others in our personal and professional worlds. We form a relationship with the people we meet, however some simply seem to work better than others.  In this ‘Building Healthy Relationships’ workshop we aim to provide you with the tools to build healthy relationships in every day living by increasing your understanding of yourself and others, your understanding of relationship dynamics and the foundation of building healthy relationships. In this workshop we explore:

Boundaries

Boundaries’ is a nine week program enabling people to build healthy relationships by setting and protecting personal boundaries; teaching people when to say ‘Yes’ and when to say ‘No’ and regaining control in life. Based on the Cloud and Townsend series.

Anxiety Management

Anxiety is a normal part of everyday life, yet when out of balance it can take control and reduce your quality of life. This four-session workshop teaches you to understand and learn to be aware of what is happening in your body, providing you with the knowledge and skills to better manage your anxiety. Fear increases anxiety, so being educated and skilled reduces this fear and strengthens your understanding and management of anxiety in everyday living:

  • Exploring the relationship between anxiety and depression, and when to get help.
  • Learning to take control of anxiety rather than have it control you
  • How anxiety works in you brain and body and how to manage you symptoms
  • Developing a maintenance program – a holistic approach to looking after your anxiety in the longer term and with the goal of preventing relapse

This workshop is conducted over four consecutive weeks.

Marriage Builder

This workshop is designed to explore
communication patterns and couple dynamics that may enhance or inhibit your relationship. The weekend seeks to explore your strengths and limitations, helping to gain fresh insights or further build communication skills. The ‘Marriage Builder’ weekend program covers
